When I Offered Biscuit To Tribal Girl (Small Story)

in #photofeed6 years ago

It was my second last day of route marking for the Deccan Ultra trail run. I was crossing the Pabargad mountain when I met one family. There were only 3 people in the house where I saw this girl. She is Sitapu lives in Jungle with their parents and 7 year old.

When his father was offering a cup of tea that time she was looking me continuously, and suddenly we both were looking each other. Her expression was almost blank.

I saw her and offered a packet of biscuit, just after picking up the biscuit suddenly she was keep smiling, running. She was telling to her father that I got this, I got the biscuit.

She was smiling, she became smile herself.
His father told me that she never ever had a biscuit in her life, this is her first time when she will eat biscuit.

It was a shock for me. Her father continuously telling that we are tribals, we don't have a proper house, we eat only rice that too twice a day, no money and even market is almost 12km far from here that too by foot. I have 2 cows and sells their milk in market, by that I only get very little money and from that I can not by biscuit for her so thank you very much that you offered biscuit to her.

There were tons of stories on Earth but not everyone is satisfied with their selves that too without money or less money.

Just love for them, they are real human beings, so natural and humble. Filling glad to meet them.

Hello sitapu 😉 your smile will brighten the world one day. Thank you @himalayanwomb for sharing the tribal family story with us.

There are people who never eat biscuit in the world because they couldn't afford it, but there're people who never eat durian because they don't like it. Different reason but this story made me mire grateful to everything I have in my life😊 I never wanted more than I need because I realised there are people like sitapu and her family somewhere around my neighborhood too.

It has already been almost 35 days living with tribes on Deccan plateau. There are lot of families and many Sitapu's who are living their life in jungles and many are living in cities and we can easily saw the difference between them. Here in this area everyone has very less desire and dreams but they are living their life, they are real, they are nature.
And I know that they doesn't want help and we still want to help them. Simple, satisfied, life.
Thanks @cicisaja to understand the smile of Sitapu. There are two type of people, one is nature lover and second is humanity lover and I found you are in love with both. God bless you, stay amazing.

You are most welcome @himalayanwomb 😊 I always appreciate those who living like sitapu and her tribe😊 they're pure and unselfish too. Didn't she learns how to read and write to? Though she lives in the jungle?

She does not go to school due to two things, first lack of money second and major reason the school is 18km far from her place, in that 12km foot walk included from one side with 475m overall ascent.

I see.. but we have some volunteer and army who also taught the tribes in the deep tropical forest and high peak in Puncak Jaya, papua too. But I can understand the situation there, education stil a luxurious thing in the third world country especially for those who live in remote area. But.. wait for a couple more years ... She'll have a skill as a survivor in the forest😊😉

There are also this procedure following by the India Army but still lots of area is left to educate. By the way the education is not that expansive in tribal area but the situation is that school can not go every where to teach 4-5 children and parents does not allowed their kids to go school after a long foot walk like sitapu do.
Anyway things are getting better and better on everyday on every year.
Thank you @cicisaja for you feelings towards these people.
