RE: Diaries of an addict #6 - Wasn't fun

Yeah, that's true, but it makes it hard for me to upvote some of her blog post, or comment on them, because I don't understand many parts of the post, even though I spend 10 minutes for a post that steempeak says should take 5 min to read. (@sukhasanasister)

What do you suggest for someone who wants to learn his third language? (what language, how to learn and ...)

Sort:

I personally find that immersing yourself (moving to another country, or joining a groups of native speakers) is probably the quickest way to learn. I speak 2 Germanic languages fluently, and one mostly based in Latin. This allows me to branch out relatively easy into German, Spanish, and pick up some Italian and Portuguese as well, but only for the basics. Spanish would be a good one in the western world, and I would think Chinese is interesting if it wasn't for their writing and 76, or so, dialects. There are about 6000 characters in the Chinese alphabet. Russian could be interesting in that in many former soviet block Countries, it is still commonly spoken as a second language. Either way, you should probably make your choice based on what you think would be the most useful to you. Considering your location; Arabic?

Moving to another country is not an option for me now, even though I love it.

Arabic make sense, most of the Islamic texts are in Arabic and the language is common in the region. Another language that I started learning but didn't continue for long, was Russian, (now I can read the Russian with difficulty and also I can say hello in that language lol). I see tourist from china, but the language is completely different from what I already know, make it hard to start.

Vsem privet. Ni hao! ~ Hello! Did you know that Arabic and Spanish have a number of things in common? The Spanish ojalá ~ hopefully, is directly related to insha Allah. Words like zapato, pantalon, camisa all have their Arabic equivalents so studying those 2 could be an interesting entry into both worlds. You already speak English so you'd have a large part of the world covered.

Saludos ~ Greetings!

I knew that those wars had affected Spanish language and architecture, but didn't know about these words. Insha allah is also a used by Iranians, so that was interesting to know.

The big dogs are powering down, and that means they expect the price to drop. Do not buy any Steem right now.

..and mohandes is engineer?

I powered down few month ago and bought Etherium (about 30 usd) and currently have no plan (nor buying steem neither powering down).
Though maybe big dogs are as dumb as dogs get. (Just a possibility). I hope it won't be a total collapse of steem.

Yes, it is.

There is one guy who has more than 650 accounts and most of them are powering down; he is a steem witness. Dtube is also powering down, and that could mean that Ned will likely pull their delegation of 2 million SP. It would mean that DTube could no longer function as a video platform. This is not looking good. I will be powering down at least 3000 SP, so sinsemilla will no longer be voting until further notice, but my main account will gain in VP.

This looks like that part of action movies when a not important character sees something and says "OK that's not good" and in the next few seconds, they all die. (but that lovely important character jumps out in the last second, with 3000 liquid steem in his wallet and survives and by the end of the movie, saves the day with that very same 3000 steem. and the twist is that you find out about the main character jumping out, in the last ten minutes of the movie.
