Photocircle Project Update: "Top 10 Contributors reward revamp!" + A call for support to @luzcypher & @pfunk's Open Mic contest

Dear Photocircle Contributors!

We have great news for everyone who are participating to the Photocircle contests.

In the 3rd weekly round-up posted yesterday, we have expressed our gratitude to our dear supporters. The upvoters who are sustaining the rewards for the participants of the project.

Today, we are very pleased to announce the revamp for the rewards for the Daily Top 10 Contributors contest.

The main reason for this is because of the immense support that we are receiving from our main supporters, @vortac & @pfunk, to whom we are very thankful of.

The other reason is the way we design the contests, Top 10 contributors is to reward the participants on a daily basis. However, there are nine (9) categories to fulfil, these are nature, people, animals, magic hour, vehicle, architecture, city, street, & macro. Why is that? We wanted everyone to have higher chances on winning their specific choice of category. More categories will mean more participants will be able to join the daily contests.

On the other hand, this setup also made the Hall of Fame contest more challenging since not all contributors are able to create photos for each and every categories. One of the reason is due to the photographer’s preference and expertise, there are some photographers who are able to shoot nature so on and so forth. Some of you are living close to nature which is why you are able to produce such amazing photos of it. But how about photographers who don't have access to other types of photography?

Having that in mind, we are revamping the rewards for the Top 10 Contributors contest to this setup:

On each category, the reward pool will be raised from 2sbd to 5sbd!

So how do we distribute the reward? It goes this way:

- Top 1 image will be rewarded with 2sbd!

- Top 9 images will be rewarded with an equal share to the remaining 3sbd, each of the top 9 contributors will be receiving an amount of 0.33sbd!

So think of the Top 10 Contributors contest as a mini contest that is happening with the week. And the best part is that everyone will have a chance to win the Hall of Famer badge! The main criteria of it is to have the most photos chosen in the Top 10 Contributors contest. How cool is that?

This update will take effect on this coming week which means you still have time on this weekend to make contribute your amazing photos to the contests.

As mentioned earlier, the main reason why we are able to revamp the rewards is because of the upvote that we are receiving from our supporters. One of which is @pfunk’s upvote, one of the top witnesses of our awesome platform, Steemit.

Aside from @pfunk’s effort in making this platform stable through his Steem node, he also support other community projects & platform features. These are Steemit.chat, Steemcleaners, and @luzcypher’s Open Mic contests. These are major platform assets and communities of Steemit. It shows his dedication in making this platform a welcoming place for new users and a better place for experienced Steemians.

Similar to the Photocircle project, @pfunk also support the Open Mic contest when it comes to rewards, though in liquid Steem rewards amounting to 200 steem! That’s a huge amount. He was able to provide this to Open Mic contest because of his witness reward being at Top 20.

At the moment @pfunk slip down to #21 of the witnesses, this in turn reward him lesser compare to being at Top 20. This of course will affect the communities that he support. More about it can be read through @luzcypher’s post HERE.
