Magnolia flower
Magnolias are quite partial to the warmth and comfort. That is the reason why in Ukraine you can see Magnolia growing in botanical gardens. Exception is a region with unique mild climate located on the other side of Carpathian mountain range - Transcarpatia.
Recently, I found our that there are every-green Magnolia species as well as deciduous. That's why our Magnolias has no leaves in spring when they blossom, and not because it is too cold for them here.
I captured this flower here in Kyiv on this weekend. Species with white flowers start to bloom earlier than others. I hope you'd like my edition. Because of strong wind it was difficult to catch it in focus.

The black background goes well with the white magnolia.
We have many magnolia plants in my hometown. Recently we have new ones planted in our neighborhood and they have pale pink petals.

It is Varna. Here is another magnolia. It is growing in the center of the town.

Yes, I could say Ii am morning person, because I am up rather early - 5.30. My working place is in another town and I travel an hour and half - enough time for steemit :-).
