With spring coming again in the Netherlands, it is that time of year again. The time in which Keukenhof opens its doors for the short season that they are open. To be precise, this takes no longer than 8 weeks. This year the park opened on 21 March and 19 May is the last day that you can visit the Keukenhof in 2019.

This short season has everything to do with the short flowering period of the flowers that Keukenhof wants to show. Keukenhof focuses on the 7 million spring-flowering bulbs that the Dutch floriculture sector has to offer. And that since 1950.

In all shapes and colors you will encounter the most famous flower of the Netherlands in large numbers. And during the 8 weeks that Keukenhof opens its doors to the public, there are also various other events that you can attend. Various concerts are given and during my last visit to Keukenhof there was a spectacular bird of prey show.
