But hire a former enemy and he will be more loyal than a friend, because he has more to prove. In fact, you have more to fear from friends than from enemies. If you have no enemies, find a way to make them.”
This law was best illustrated by Michael Corleone in the Godfather when he said, "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer."
The problem is everyone we think are our friends are not. There are different levels to friendship, and it is important to recognize who is really who before you get screwed. Please watch my thoughts below and discuss in the comments.

For real, there are different types of friends. Bar and party friends are different then family.
I think this "keeping your enemies close" thing is talking about bar friends. Keep those shadys close enough to know if they're up to no good.
For real friends, get rid of them if they are weak.
