Proving a Negative
I apologize for this post, because it's no more than a little rant. Truth is that I'm annoyed with the way people word things, with the way people argue for their positions. Yes, not everyone can be versed in the art of debate, but I can't accept the logical inconsistencies some people adhere to.

How can someone prove a negative?
And this is across the board. It makes no sense, it's not logical, not feasible at all. Examples? We can draw up thousands and all of them would be valid. I could sit here and tell you to prove to me that Unicorns don't exist and you would not be able to do so.
If you read that last line, and you are getting ready to tell me that I must be drinking bleach if I think Unicorns exist, hear me out for a second; I don't! The point I'm trying to make is that not because you can't prove a negative does that equate that the opposite is true.
If you can't prove to me that Unicorns exist, that does not mean that they don't or that they do. Do you see what I mean? They could exist, it's unlikely, and I personally don't think they do, but proving a negative is the bluntest of tools to make a logical argument.
We can't say he didn't
That is just as stupid, I'm sorry. Of course I'm talking about the political discourse here, and the whole Mueller thing, and again I'm sorry. But.... What does this mean? The answer is simple: NOTHING.
This does not mean that something didn't happen, of course we don't know that, but in practice it might as well say as much. In other words, political pish posh of the highest levels of futility.
I for one, I'm pretty tired of the public square's inability to be rational and logical. We have but a bunch of dishonest talking heads trying to secure viewership at the expense of reason and logic.
MenO
The only tools we need to free people are critical thinking and rational logic, the world is lacking in both. They are like a screwdriver and pliers are to any toolbox, they are common, self explanatory and versatile, and lastly but not least they are no more than a few questions, simple inquisition on the origin, the reason and the method of whatever is of interest.
is this a failure in our education system? is it a failure in parenting? I don't really know.
Blaming one over the other is irrelevant in my opinion, it seems like it has been boiling the frog by gradually turning up the heat, since the parents are very much the products of poor education and the teachers the result of poor curriculum and in a grand circle it eventually comes back to the grandparents of the parents. What we can do is point the nonsense out, that, I think, would be as good of a place to start as any, I hope that in pointing it out others start to scratch their heads and realize that it's nonsense indeed.

The perspectives of the “grey area” prove to be very polarizing more often these days!
