RE: It's not Them, it's Us.

in #philosophy7 years ago

I've read a lot of posts and comments about how unfair is the destribution of the rewards. Many of them that are complaining are also supporting the current system and trying to climb the tree which they hate. Then there is many comments about how it is only natural that way because it is the same in the real world. "We can't all be kings, queens and CEOs." These people are not complaining, they automatically accept the system, without doubt. Different approach and same result...

I don't have the example of a better system to provide here now. I guess my point is to say that we really have the power to change things. This platform is very young and we have huge possibilities to affect the way it works. It just requires that we (majority) also start thinking a little bit differently than we are used to.

Thank for taking the time.

I think the system (although basic) is actually already here but at least in these early stages, it takes more people to support people looking to support. lots of supports in there but I think you get the idea. If we support those looking to build and grow the community who are in turn supporting others looking to do the same, the distribution actually spreads very fast.

But, many expect support without buying-in or supporting others which makes it like a broken social security system. The platform encourages (although not easy to do) engagement and in time, those that create a community spirit are also rewarded for their efforts in a number of ways. Too many people currently treat it as a financial system only which makes actions resemble those of the 'real world'.

Oh yes, engagement in community. I'd love to do more of that but often there is simply no time. Maybe it's just whining. Often when I wanted to try for example steemit chat, there was always some other tasks I had to do.
