in #philosophy7 years ago

How are you finding your personal luck? How do you measure success? And how are you dealing with everyday challenges like anger, sadness and the question for higher purposes. Why have George Washington, Friedrich-The-Great, top athletes or top-performer embraced the wisdom of the ancient Stoics? Because they realize that the most valuable wisdom is timeless and that philosophy is for living a better life.

Stoic-Philosophy Day #2 | Insights | Tknowledge equals freedom

Why are you on steemit reading this post? Why are you reading philosophy or reading something at all? Not to appear smarter. Not to reread what you already know, there are many other things you could do instead of reading. You reading philosophy because you wanna learn how to live. Live in peace and listen to the wise words of great poeple and think about what they had to say. Moreover you are reading because you want to reach a goal you set for youself. Remember this lesson for those days when you are lose you focus easily because of TV or a small snack that seemd more tempting than study philosphy or read.

What are the goals you stet for youself in the next frew weeks. Write a comment, and just do it. Work on it every day until you reach it. It will be far more rewarding than distracting youself with nonsense.

Thank you for stopping by. I believe that philosophie if practiced right can enrich many lifes and is a helpful tool to focus and reach your goals, whatever they may be.
That's why I'm writing this blogs. To share what I've learned and waht helped my on my way.

Stoicism is very similar to Buddhism in terms of philosophy.

That's true on a fundamental level. I respect both very much. I just found out that for me Stoicism seems to be more compatible with my everyday life.
