I would say middle school is where you will get the boot. I homeschooled mine through the end of those cesspool years. Kids are cruel, I had no idea!! Are they learning by example??

It's all good. After all, it didn't go dark when we weren't looking. So, there is that.
Yes they are but, sheltering them can make it worse. the example parents have given cruel kids is a lack of consequence for being cruel kids. What they don't realise is that in time, they have not prepared their children for a cruel world where they are unable to build the necessary networks for a good life.
