Giving a helping hand is no hardship --- it is just being kind.
I am no different to many others - I have original quotes running around in my head. Yes, I am being philosophical this morning. Or maybe I am hinging on motivation and spirituality. Being kind is no big thing to a kind person; it is automatic.
What does kind look like?
Kind is small gestures like giving a person the time of day - having a chat, picking up something that has been dropped, holding the door open while an older person goes in or out, making a cup of tea or coffee. It is as simple as supporting a friend. It does not cost any money.
Kind can be bigger gestures like donating goods, food, money to those experiencing hard times. Maybe it is donating one's time in a food van for the homeless.
Kindness comes from the heart. it is just being nice with a dose of benevolence thrown in. One needs to read other people's feelings and be observant.
It is not done with the thought of getting anything back. If it is then it probably is not kindness.
Putting something like kindness into the universe means a flowing on effect that goes from one person to another. I had a return flow on effect yesterday. Flowers I bought as a giving gesture to take to a lunch that was cancelled.

Yes they are real, they are gerberas - very pretty with no scent - sadly.
