It was just a dream. A dream to catch, something that can give big impact to our lives. Along side with sacrifices and decision making. I almost give up in the event of crying while eating, thinking about what for dinner in the table. I dragged my family with may delusion ambition for our future. Since June of this year 2017, I've been in connection with a group who outreach a tribal village of Matigsalog, it's 1 of 5 recognized Indigenous People here in Philippines. However the group keeps on courting the tribal elders ever since around 20 years ago. Since then the negotiation have been materializing and connecting the dots until the very moment of almost success. With no support from the government and solicitation, finances is a bit of problem since all are came from our pockets.

The idea was to create a better and sustainable life for them. In this way we also preserved their domain and make out of their existing resources and culture. As we heard from one of the Datu's (Datu is a title of a tribal leaders, almost equivalent to chieftain they called in other countries) among the five recognized tribal people here in Philippines, only two have not yet sold out totally their domains. Due to poverty the rest of the tribal people only have a certain domain that is enough for their people to live in and farm.

After hearing this song I cried. I cried that I knew we are making out of something. We are culturing a new generation of tribal people. We are educators of literacy and sustainability for all. We are imparting something moral and important to them and we are sacrificing everything in our side for their welfare.

At first the village is skeptical with our ideas. When we started to reach out few people followed us and those people are with the same vision for the village. Among them are three Datu's, Mr. and Mrs. Datu Diwan and Datu Mansabid (elder of the elders). Datu Mansibid is the very first Matigsalog who is college graduate and also a pastor. With his decades of struggle none of his dreams for the tribal manifest not until now, not until we pushes and concretely act in accordance of his dreams. With so much happiness yesterday, they'll visit and took part of the creation.

F.A.I.T.H = Food Always In The House

With open lots within their domain, we are creating an AGRI-ECOTOURISM sustainable community. As we preserved their homeland, we open up possibilities for them. With cold atmosphere and an overlooking terrains, we are introducing our tent valley and trekking mountain.

This will open up monetary funds for them and for future development of the area. Since one of their source of income is Kaingin (wood charcoal) we must give back to the nature, we will have reforesting (tree planting) project that soon accompanied with #steemph.davao and #westeemdavao participants. 90% of the proceeds will be given back to the tribe and will be funding the next projects. We will be also planning for Coffee and Cacao mountains in additional to rice and some crops they have. We also introduce "bamboo farm" (soon pictures will be update) since Bamboo in Philippines is high demand. Phew so many project for them right? hahaha

Our Vision

We will end "social injustice" for them. We will end the mind set of city people that if you are an indigenous person you are poor and beggar. We will end literacy and educate them in full. We will end starvation and malnutrition since this is one of their problems ever since. We will add job opportunity and with benefits and convert their "incapability to capable" living.

My Message

Idea is a millionaires mind stronghold, why? Everything right now, of what we use and see are just concepts of previews minds. Why there are successful stories that started with nothing or unbelievable capital? One thing, "There Ideas Became Visions and It has a Deadline". If we work together and keep an aligned vision, anything is possible and attainable. This is our model community after this we will reach out and help other tribal village here in Mindanao, Philippines and open their eyes and mind that there's hope if we help each other.
