TYPHOON URDUJA LEAVES PHILIPPINES IN DESPAIR

in #philippines7 years ago (edited)

Recently, a massive typhoon was felt throughout the Philippine islands. This typhoon caused downfalls in businesses and agriculture, wreckage of homes, and the most painful, loss of lives.

Just this night, I was scrolling through my facebook timeline when I saw how much devastation this typhoon has left our country. Although it was only felt on some parts of the Philippines, the people who experienced it are still on the state of trauma, and maybe, some are even planning to end up their lives because the things and people who matter most are already gone in just a blink of an eye.

My heart went breaking upon seeing a picture of a child in mud, stiff, cold, and out of life. Then went out another picture of a hand laid flat because a huge tree tunk hit the owner's body. The place which was full of tall grown trees before is now a place of plain mud and debris.

I just hope that the people in this community would get up and start their lives anew. May God bless the souls of those who died and may God protect all of us against terrifying disasters like this.

So sad.. always hit by a bad typhoon.. 😢

Yes. Good thing is, we filipinos are still capable of smiling and showing the world that no matter what circumstance we are in, we'd still be resilient enough to adapt to challenges.

I'm not sure resilience is a word that we should hold onto. Drastic development to better our country should be put into place so that we don't just have to live in resilience but in joy & prosperity not in misery & chaos.

I pray for a corruptless government & that I get to live to see it.

I also agree with what you said. However, disasters like this are out of man's control. I'm actually highlighting how Filipinos are tough despite the hardships and struggles that they face.

I agree w/ the highlight..didn't mean to sound negative on that part.

Just frustrated that despite high taxes we pay the gov't seldom do we see infrastructure able to w/stand calamities like these when we know that we are located at an area vunerable to these types of things.

I can go on..

If only more people were God fearing then a lot of these problems could have been avoided, I can only pray & do my part.
