So a really valuable tip for everyone starting with steemit is not to get excited with earning or cashing out! Remember steemit isn't a job. It's a social media platform with the ability for us to earn! One must know the basics on how to actually earn here and make it worthwhile. Never focus on the money side of steemit. I'm saying that the money side doesn't matter, but don't focus n it too much! A friend of mine said that if you hone and perfect your craft, money won't be a problem. In fact money will be after you! STEEM POWER - Dictates how much your upvotes are worth and the percetage you get from the curation rewards. Having high SP will ensure you success in STEEMIT.

STEEM DOLLARS - Fast currency that can be withdrawn faster than STEEM. Posts must be set to 50/50 to generate SBD faste, joining contests can also contribute in this. This mostly traded within steem.
