Alstroemeria commonly called the Peruvian lily or lily of the Incas, is a genus of flowering plants in the family Alstroemeriaceae.
Its name recalls that of the baron Klas Von Alstroemer who introduced this beautiful flower into Europe.
Astroemelia blooms in spring or summer and lends itself to be grown both in pots and in the ground.
In the language of flowers, and according to Peruvian tradition, this flower represents the good that wins against evil.
