How to buy Peerplay PPY easy - August 2017

Hi! I've spent the better half of the day trying to find an easy way to buy PPY online as the project looks great and it's the first one I've seen that will pay dividends to its holders. The ICO is over so in order to get your hands on some you'll have to go through an exchange. Sadly, so far only 3 exchanges carry it. 

If you use www.coinmarketcap.com like I do, you'll quickly notice that you can pick some up on 3 exchanges:

And as you can clearly see from the above image, the exchange that has the most volume so far is the OPENLEDGER DEX! At the time of this writing it's 24h volume is nearly half a million US dollars. It's also where you can get the best price.

YOU NEED TWO THINGS TO USE THIS GUIDE:

• A wallet account with OPENDLEDGER DEX.
• Bitshares or BTS to purchase PPY with.

ONCE YOU HAVE A WALLET ACCOUNT AT OPENLEDGER DEX, here are the steps I followed to buy PPY:

1. Open your OPENLEDGER DEX wallet by going to this link: https://openledger.io or https://bitshares.openledger.info/ (Which ever one you prefer or already use! They both link to the same exchange and it's a wonder to me why they would have two separate URL's. If anyone know, please feel free to let me know in the comments!)

2. Once you are in your wallet, make sure you are in "Advanced Mode". You can easily tell by looking at the menu on the top of the page. It will either say "SWITCH TO ADVANCED MODE" or "SWITCH TO BASIC MODE". If it looks like this:

Then click on "SWITCH TO ADVANCED MODE" (Which I circled in red in the above image) and you should see a totally new interface pop up that looks like this:

3. Now that we are in "Advanced Mode" we need to click on "EXCHANGE" in the top menu:

Here you will find all of the markets and coins that are available on OPENLEDGER DEX and this is precisely where I had the most trouble when trying to purchase my PPY, and it's also the reason for the writing of this article, simply because no matter where you look, the BTS / PPY trading pair isn't anywhere to be found! Normally, you'd simply click on "BTS" under "MY MARKETS" and scroll down the list and find it there, however for some ungodly reason it isn't listed.

4. No worries though, you can easily find it by clicking on "FIND MARKETS" which is right next to "MY MARKETS" (circled in the above image) and searching for the term "PPY"!

5. Now simply click on PPY and you are ready to trade! ;)
