@barge, a very sensitive and important post..now a days, the child abuse is increasing at alarming rate...In India too every other day we get to hear something horror story. and this week my subeject for #innervoice contest is on the same line. Would appreciate if you can open your heart on the subject.

    Hi @steemflow, thank you for your comment and your appreciation. I also think that the phenomenon of Child Sexual Abuse is widespread in India - what the mainstream media reports is very little, and is biased towards sensationalism and drama. There is the heavy, everyday aspect which is not dramatic, and so close to home that it remains a secret that nobody wants to break. I think awareness is being raised on CSA, rape and 'eve-teasing', but this is a slow process and there are overt and covert interests in Indian society that deeply resist. It touches the elite in their walled-in mansions and the exposed railway track slum-dwellers, and the multitudes in between.

    Thank you for inviting me along to your contest. I have carefully considered it and will respectfully decline on the following grounds:

    1. the topic is not one that I have knowledge or experience of, or opinion on: "Media and Superstars trolls on Sexual Abuse". My heart would therefore not be in it, and I would not be able to open it on the subject. I will say however, that your description "whenever there is any sexual abuse or harassment, the superstars come up openly on criticising the coward act,whereas the media keep focusing on the incident,without even worried about victim trauma" seems to be more or less how I see it i.e. not concerned with the real causes and underlying patterns (too close to home perhaps?) so much as the drama and finger-pointing.
    2. I am picky about which contests I enter. I am often put off by certain rules, for example ones that require the post to be resteemed, or the entrant to be a follower of the contest host.
