The Noodle Maker

As the second-biggest consumption of noodle after China, Indonesia has various types of noodles. One of them is Acehnese noodles with a distinctive flavor, which is the most popular food from Aceh in Indonesia.

Ricky (33) is one of the workers at the noodle production site in Peunayong, Banda Aceh. Its customers are noodle sellers with a total of up to 50 people scattered in the cities of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar.

Ricky, a man from Central Java, said that the flour used for Acehnese noodles was wheat flour imported from Australia.

The production process using this noodle milling machine only takes about 15 minutes. Unlike the production of noodles with a manual method which takes up to 1 hour.

From the milling machine, the noodles are then dipped in a large skillet containing boiling water. Boil briefly, then lift and place on the table.

Another worker sprayed cooking oil while giving the air with a fan.
