Project model railway #37 - Total view
You asked for it, I deliver!
This is the current state of the project with some additional facts and behind (under) the scenes pictures.
Top view in "Day Mode"
The tunnel leads to the "basement". Here trains can turn around and go up again. There is also space to park 4 additional trains, the so called shadow train station
A LED stripe let's you see what's going on beneath the surface.
About 300m wires have been installed.
Top view in "Night Mode"
Hard facts
- Overall rail length: 39 meters on about 9m²
- 48 additionally installed (micro)LEDs to illuminate streets, buildings and cars
- 136 figures
- 42 vehicles
- 29 buildings
- 11 animals
After making these pictures and while writing this post I found out that there is something on the streets that does not belong there.

On the first picture there is a gray block next to the rails, like near the railroad crossing. Also good visible in the last pic. Next to the lamp at the bottom. Is it that what you meant?

Your family and friends don't tease you for occupying such a big part of your house with a project like this?
Yeah, my wife is not really amused :D
But since it is looking quite nice she is ok with it. She also has some really neat ideas that I can model / build into it, so everything is peacefull here.
But at the start, there was nothing more than a wooden frame, with tons of screws and wires, and this stressed her out quite a bit, but somehow the project survived :D
