My baby sister sent me this EcoSphere last week. I was just looking in, watching the shrimp dart back and forth when I decided to make a post.

These are sealed systems, and everything they need to thrive for years is put in at the same time the shrimp are. It’s a delicate system. If the nitrogen spikes because the shrimp eat too much algae, they die. If the algae doesn’t get enough light, they die. If they overbreed and the food runs out, they die.

Even if they don’t literally destroy the sphere, they can destroy their system’s ability to sustain them. It’s going to be interesting to see if they destroy their world or not.
