Mermaidmonday contest 33 Ancient Aztec

My official entry for mermaidmonday contest by @nymia.aryn. This is my idea of Ancient Aztec which is our theme for the week. My drawing shows a painting of a mermaid on a stone wall probably painted by an ancient tribe that reflects their culture. A civilization that is advanced, skillful, abundant and overall fun.

Below I will show the process photos:

1. I used airbrush to draw the figure I want

1. Then I chose a color which I think fits my vision which is on the brown side

1. The fun part is adding details related to the theme. This is the crucial step because whatever I put in defines the look of my art. On the dress of the mermaid I put an Aztec inspired print in black.

1. Last step is adding facial details, final touches then a background.
