Smile - its plastic slavery
Its come recently to my attention that here in Norway the office workers are officially in another stage of slavery. In this fast approaching cashless society its facinating and just a complete joke in my eyes, that these people are working daily and not really being paid any money. Its slavery!
Your getting paid, or so you believe, but please answer me this then, where is your money if you havent seen it since a year or two and have been using a card that swaps numbers from screen to screen?
Lets say your employer uses the same bank as you do. Theres no money involved if your boss sends 'money' from the company account to your account because then that is just sending numbers from one screen and account to another, and then you use A piece of Plastic to spend your non existing wages, which are just purely numbers.
Most people are using an app called Vipps created by Dansk Bank.
Im not sure if they have it in Sweden but that means if they do, then most of Scandalnavia use the same bank, thus there is no money involved at all!, and its purely different digits on different screens.

Stand and wait for the loading screen to load up so they can pay, and most times they say "Ah its so good you take vipps, we dont have any money anymore!" and the when it flashes up "something went wrong" they say, "oh!" "hmm,oh well goodbye!" They dont realize that they have just been refused useage of what apparently is thier money, and dont seem so phased by it, which is a worry.
Some say "I'll go and take the cash out for you from an atm". Fucking amazing at how people now see cash as some kind of hard work to just keep in our pockets, like some kind of burden.
The only people that have cash here are the older people, who will soon die out and will make the memory of cash usage extinct.
They really think its cool that they have no money. And they happily tell me "I have no money" every day so often that soon they will be broke and wonder why. The are happy to say this! As if its cool or funny or clever. A life tip for you all.. The quickest way to go financial broke it to repeat daily "I have no money"

I do see very big problems with the reliance on the banks and credit card companies, as well as the total lack of privacy.
I'll only comment on the privacy this time: over the past 20 years we've accepted a level of surveillance on monetary transactions that is rather unheard of. By now we've come to the point where a significant amount of cash transactions are somewhat illegitimate - often related to tax evasion, sometimes worse crimes. This is again very bad, as it becomes normal to assume people handling cash have something to hide - meaning that one has to use the banking services simply to demonstrate that one has nothing to hide.
Good point! When I tell people I only use cash they do give me a funny look hahah
IMO, the extinction of physical cash is fine, if the evolution is in the right direction. I think many of us in this platform already believe that cryptocurrency is the way forward. It's now a matter of identifying and supporting the right projects. I hope the right cryptocurrencies that at least serve as precursors for mass adoption have already arrived. And I hope I'm supporting at least 1 right.
I really dont like that no pyhsical cash around is fine hahaha, its crazy! Ok if we did have crypto mainstream then that would be ok, but we dont, and wont have for a while!
Love that last bit and yeh me to! Although Im much more investing in blockchains for now, not so much the coins.
I guess with a variety we have chose atleast on coin that will get used.. Im guessing shitty xrp will be one of the first used!
What do we do until crypto is mainstream lol..
I think personally I will be struggling to be in control of my money in 2 years from now lol
DNB was behind Vipps (now most of the Norwegian banks are involved).
Danske Bank has their own app MobilePay. They have abandoned their efforts in Norway as Vipps took market dominance.
Vipps again will have to survive competition with Apple and Google.

In Sweden, they have "swish" or "swush" or something like that.

They have no money, but they do have currency becoming more worthless everyday. The currency printers don’t want anyone saving it up & hoarding real money like central banks. Do I have to go work in the mines to be paid real money?
They have access to it but thats it! its not even existing unless they actually draw it out in cash hahahahha, and none of them have any dam crypto!
Its so laughable to see daily, so much so im looking for a place for a good months holiday after christmas, Ive been here way to long and will come back anyway hahahaha
