Using visualization to change your mental state

The brain is weird...

It can't tell the difference between things we imagine and things that we actually experience.

why is this important?

Let me tell you!

Say you don't have a stellar amount of self worth. There are so many of us who have struggled with this at one point in time.

Why does this happen?
Self Worth is dictated by the mind. It's the brains way of telling us how well we fit into it's model of worthiness or value.

This is built over time. Most likely you had someone tell you that you were unworthy when you see younger. Maybe you did poorly in schools and your grades reflected poorly. Ultimately, you have been told that you are unworthy enough times that you began to believe it.

Let's do something about it.

So now we know why we feel a certain way, and we know that the brain doesn't really mind if an experience is real or fabricated ...

what should we do about it?

Let's create some new experiences!

You can use this for any "morality", or feeling state that you want to change.
Imagine what it would feel like to be 100% worthy of love and acceptance. The goal is to "intend to feel this way". Don't put so much weight in the actual feeling that arises.

What would it feel like to be 1000% percent worthy of love and acceptance?

Let your feelings, thoughts, emotions arise and flow freely.

Your intention is key. Your mind and body will show you which things are being released.

Often I am able to feel a shift in my emotional state. If there is space for this belief to change I will feel it flow easily.

Sometimes we have beliefs that get in the way. With practice you will be able to sense when this is happening. I notice a tightness, or an inability to change when this is occuring. I ask myself "what is holding me back?". An answer always arises ... I know that is the next piece of the puzzle and work to remove or change that belief.

Each time you do this practice you will change your perception of yourself. Over time you can make humungous shifts in your self worth, how much you love yourself, how confident you are, etc. Be patient and stick with it!
