Some thoughts about bid bots and about those who didn't like them
Hello everyone!
Yesterday again i saw some interesting posts and comments.
Basicly it was all about the bots and reward pool.
In some way i fully agree with those who are against the bid bots. Because i also dont like to see meaningless posts boosted until the moon. So yes in that case they are right.
But i dont think so that it will be better without the bots.
I think almost everyone would like to see the steem as a strong crypto. But right now the bid bots are a really good investment on steem. Imagine if all of them they withdraw the money what they invested.
For sure we will see a nice price drop.
And i am sure in that moment everyone will regret that they was against this kind of service.
The solution is if we wanna fight against the reward pool rapers to hunt down the meaningless posts with high bid votes and not to ban the bidbots.
Also i understand that lets say there is a group who stick together and they support each other with they votes. But imagine that you just joined the community. You can write the best posts you will be not noticed for sure. So everyone need a boost. And how you can get boosted? By others or bots.
So it is quiet sensitive topic for sure but i wanna share my opinion.
Also in some way those who buy votes usually they also invest. Than who are we to judge them? Because they invest of course they would like to have some ROI%.
As i use to say if you make a meaningless post and you wanna have some return on your investment than make it but know how much you can and how much you cant.
That is my opinion. I am happy to discuss about this more in the comment section. For sure we can make some pro and con's.
But lets dont forget that the most important is to have investors here. No investors no vallue of the steem. Than even you make a nice post you will get dust for it.

I am already making dust with my posts, no matter what I do, what I post, what I write about. Sometimes I have to boost my post (not necessarily with bid-bots) to reach the payout minimum, because usually almost no one (only a few people) cares about my posts.
This is changed lately by using dPoll. You can see a relatively good interaction on my posts, but usually I still earn less than 1 Steem with my posts, and we know that nowadays the value of Steem is between $0.20 USD and $0.40 USD, based on the price of Steem nowadays, I am making dust (=only a few cents) with my posts/comments.
I know that "dust" means less than $0.02, but still.
I am earning just a few cents with my posts.
To be honest, I think that this is not worth my time.
And I am probably not alone.
How much do you make when you post on, say, Facebook? Or anywhere else on the internet, really.
1 steem now will be worth a lot more later, too.

Nowadays I don't post on Facebook.
I currently keep my Facebook account only for chatting with real life relatives and friends.
I do monetize an external blog with Google AdSense, but I rarely update the blog nowadays, so I usually make less than $1 USD per month with it.
But let's go back to Steem.
3 months ago (on 2018.11.28) Steemit, Inc laid off close to 70% of the team.
"Given the weakness of the cryptocurrency market, the fiat returns on our automated selling of STEEM diminishing, and the growing costs of running full Steem nodes, we have been forced to layoff close to 70% of the team." - Steemit Update.
Even some whales are losing/lost hope nowadays.
The future of Steem is questionable nowadays.
I am just checking the price of steem. Right now in steem/php (philippine peso)
And few days ago it was 1 steem=15 peso today it was closer to 19php. So not that much bad. And more dapps are comming. Plus i bet if the freedomex will start to exchange the steem/fiat than it will make another grow. And we are still in the bear market😉

absolutly i agree with you. I shared this because i was sad how some accounts fight against those who are useing bots. But example ok i am not a professional but still i think sometimes i catch few good topics. And of course i dont boost myself until the trending because i know i dont worth that much.
But example i didnt cash out nothing. Just continously makeing deposit. Than invest it again in posts or other projects. So i dont want others to judge me because i think i didnt make abuse.
Instead of that keeping my money here in the community and i hope that soon it will return somehow.
I see many cool projects dapps and i am sure these soon will make the steem worth more and more😊

Pontosan. Kell az hogy kicsit az ember turbozza magat. Mert hiaba mondanak sokan barmit ilyen vilagban elunk.
En is igazi voteot szinte csak a magyaroktol kapok itt. Meg par emberketol akikkel joban lettem de ugye mind kb. egy szinten vagyunk.
En azert is hasznalok promo botokat mert miert ne. A penzt nem veszem ki hanem porgetem tovabb igy csak jot teszek a steem ecosystemnek.
Amugy biztos lattad lesz vagyis van uj exchange. Nemsokara lehet fiattal is vasarolni steemet. Tuti lassan de biztosan menni fog fel a steem ara. Plusz ugye a sok dapp. Most a moonsteem pl. hihtetlenul addictive. Apropo ha meg nem lattad akkor szigoruan adom a reflinket😊 Csak voteolni kell a postjukat es adnak par centet hogy jatszhass😊
De lenyegeben sok app van most ami fel fogja szerintem tolni az arfolyamot csak ki kell varni. Lehet nem is lesz olyan sokara😊

People give up pretty easily, too. It takes time, it takes effort, and it takes money. Like most things in life.
People have to pay to promote content on every other site, and in every aspect of life. I think it makes sense, especially considering people have Steem and SBD to spend. Why shouldn't they be allowed to spend it however they want? Similarly, if someone has invested a lot in Steem Power, why should they not be able to sell their vote?
People have unrealistic expectations for things sometimes. Yeah, Steem would be a lot better if people interacted more, and especially if they didn't get so down about the earnings and price of Steem. Just remember that no other site pays you for your content, really, and it's still in the salad days.
Don't lose hope everyone. Just start commenting if you want to see more comments. :)

Not everyone, and not pretty easily. I am on Steemit since 2017.05.17, so I am trying on Steemit (and on the Steem blockchain) for almost 2 years. I would not call this "giving up pretty easily".

Time? Not for everyone. Or at least not a lot of time.
Some people make hundreds of dollars effortlessly (sometimes even with a single post).
Especially the rich people.
But for the most of us, yes. It takes time. A lot of time. Years, maybe even decades.

Money? Well, usually the rich become richer, the poor become poorer (or at least stay poor) (and most likely ignored). Like in real life.

That is not true. There are many other websites that pays you for your content.
Either in cryptocurrency or in fiat money. You can even make your own.
Just a few examples for other blockchains: Minds, Trybe, ClearPoll, Scorum, Weku, Smoke.
Steem is still young. And it became more and more about money not the content that is true. But if it will be not about money than the currency will drop extremly. And that is a fact i think.
I am also poor. Just finding the way how to make myself sucessfull here. And i am sure i can😉
