Thank you so much for this post. I am very touched that I was missed.
I miss @marty-art, @magiccleatus and @lildebbiecakes, all of whom seem to have quit Steemit or taken a long break.
Part of the feeling of missing them comes from not knowing what happened to them. Did they fall sick? Did someone piss them off? Was their Steemit income too low to bother with? Or maybe they simply got bored with Steemit. Who knows?
This is a constant online problem. Not only are our online friends and contacts transient but we don't even know if they tell us the truth.
Recently my friend was stalked on fb. I showed her how to block this stalker then she told me that she was safe from him in rl as he lives in Miami and she lives in London. I replied that she couldn't believe anything he'd written on fb. He might really live in a London tower block for all she knew.
Anyway, thank you again to @laputis and @organduo for missing Artstorm :)
Hi dear @deemarshall, wow I feel so blessed that so many have missed me, and I’m so sorry I haven’t contacted you all, like I have done in the past when I’ve been away. I will tell you what has been happening with me. This is a reply that I wrote to @organduo today, I thought I’d copy it because it’s so long, you know how I am Ha Ha! Anyways here’s what I wrote back to @organduo after he expressed his concern, and said I was missed. Your a very thoughtful gentleman Vidas, and thank you for your kindness, concern, and thoughtfulness, and this post. You and @laputis have certainly touched our hearts many times here on Steemit , as well as you @deemarshall, and I would definitely miss you all and everyone else here if any of you left. Here’s what was said to Vidas - ( Hi dear friend, I know I’ve been away for a long time now, It’s so nice to know I’m loved❣️I’ll tell you why I’ve been away, a friend of ours became homeless and was living in his car with his dog for quite a long time. He was one of those old friends that you would see every now and again, if he happened to be in the area. One night we got a phone call from him saying that he had run out of gas in a little town about twenty five miles from us, and ask us to help him. That’s when we found out about his situation. He was driving a beat up tiny compact car filled to the brim with his belongings, and with a sweetheart of a dog named Lee Lou. He had lost his job, his apartment, and most all of his belongings. He had been doing odd jobs to stay alive whenever and wherever he could, he was severely depressed, no matter how he tried, he couldn’t get out of his slump. We have known this man since he was a child, he is thirty six now. Anyways to make a sad and long story short, we have been making a home for him here with us, and it’s going well. Rick and I have a split level home, and he has moved into the downstairs. We’re he has a full fenced in backyard where his dog can run freely, she is having a great time. The downstairs had grown to become our storage room, and where working on cleaning it out and having a large garage sale YEAH! So that’s what I’ve been up to, we have been devoting special time with him making sure he gets the mental and physical comfort he desperately needs. We have work to get done around here still, and so I’m not sure how much time I will be spending on Steemit until things are settled. Where having a great time with our old friend, and where all doing great, life is good, God is good!! Love you guys Deb❣️
Clearing out takes ages :) I am glad you are okay.
I’m doing great, thank you @deemarshall❣️
You are right about the dangers on the internet. Luckily we have this community where everyone feels welcomed (except maybe one or two people who like to use other people's work as their own, haha). I also miss @lildebbiecakes, @marty-art and @magiccleatus. Hope they are at least OK.
