I’m not certain the best way to earn a passive income but I know there are many, investment if you have the capital to invest seems like the easiest option. After growing investments things like affiliate marketing seem to be rewarding long as you stay away from the scamy things. One that just about anyone could do is selling merchandise or good with an online store.

I have seen it used for good and bad, my buddy died of cancer but was able to prolong his life for several years thanks to treatment he was able to afford through the gofundme he started.
Furthermore my best friends sister was murdered and the family could not afford a funeral therefor a friend started a gofundme and they were able to have a beautiful service for her sister.
Yet as anything “free” and money related people will always find a way of manipulating it for their own gains. When looking into it with that murder situation because it was front page news for our province we found dozens of gofundme accounts claiming to be for the family which the family never received anything from.
I think it needs to have a type of personal verification so for situations that call for it there is an easy way of tracking and legal claims can be made thus deterring the abuse and misuse of the service as it takes away from the support those that need it will receive as people get the sense of scam behaviour and refrain from participating when they have the means and intention to help.
Not sure what accounts exactly you mean but that’s my personal take on the gofundme service.

Thank you for your detailed response. The GoFundMe account that comes to mind is the one set up for Christine Blasey Ford, the accuser of Brett Kavanaugh for sexual assault, it raised over $600k before they quit accepting donations. Since we don't know who donated the money, might this $600k be considered a payment to her, for trying to disrupt the life of a Judge?

Can you explain simply how to undelegate SP in @minnowbooster

Delegations are replaced, meaning if you want to add or subtract you simply delegate the final amount you wish to contribute.
So if you want to take back your delegations then simply do the same process over which was done the first time but replace the value of SP with 0.
Remember it takes 7 days for your delegation to return and during that period it will be in limbo.
Personally if I delegate to someone or something, first off I have made certain I have no need for that SP, secondly I believe in that person or project, thirdly I have no intention of ever taking it back!

If you need to raise $200 for a charity project in less than 10 days here in Steemit, what strategies will you be taking?

Well for one I wouldn’t be trying to use the Steem ecosystem for trying to raise money for any project non related to Steem as your only taking that money out of the platform like a leech.
Personally if I need money a nice couple days labour is fairly easy to figure out but to answer your question I would just post for a week about it and hope someone would bite. I currently earn around 100-300 a week so on any given 10 period I should be able to achieve this as I am and would not require doing anything more. Simply just holding my payouts till that 10 day period is over would get me to the goal without needing to wait for payouts of the final day.
Again IMO Steem should not be viewed as a fundraising system for any reason, there are many other better ways to do it that does not take away from the platform. I could work a single day IRL and make more than $200 so imagine what could be accomplished in 10!

Good point. But here's the sad truth, a lot of people in this planet don't earn as much as you do. So, raising $200 is definitely hardwork for some. That's why they try different means to raise that fund because they want to achieve something. But thanks for trying to answer my question. I'll take your advice, I'll just post for a week with a hope that someone would "bite". Keeping my fingers-crossed that the post reaches the right people. ♡

True many people struggle yet most of them $200 they could also live for a month. The question is priorities IMO before setting off to extort systems for gains even for a good cause they must consider what their priorities are, we should always have our house in order first. Put me in any situation and I will find a way to thrive even if it means working 20hrs a day which I have done this year till exhaustion.
There are many other systems to gain income for a good cause besides Steem such as gofundme but if it must be through Steem you could always try fundition.io and making every effort to get your post in front of the right eyes. I learned from my attempts to try help someone raise funds here on Steem that it is generally frowned upon as most that wish to support the platform and see it thrive also don’t want to see the funds taken out for things non platform related. They would much rather support someone for their journey here such as raising funds for equipment to up their ability to create fantastic content.

Well Steemit Inc is more of a leader then a supporter, they call for support from the witnesses for testing of code submissions and the like.
As for without them honestly I believe it will make a requirement of witnesses to be more proactive on developing and advancing our chain to be able to reap the so highly sought after rewards. Most likely we will see a re-structuring of those in power towards a more self-sufficient platform because it is currently a system where we depend on the development done by the front-end company.

It does seem as if Ned is trying to make the changes needed to be able to create a sustainable future, people are worried about the fact that Dan is completely done with the system and now we’re seeing Ned powering down but never do they question the fact that Steemit Inc. has been squandering millions of dollars yearly.
Honestly I think the community will survive no matter what, the one thing about community it supersedes all other aspects of life so even if we have to move to a new platform our community will survive.
