Day 518: 5 Minute Freewrite. Prompt: Bark.

The word bark is fairly relevant to my life right now. This giant dead eucalyptus tree needs to be chopped down, and each time we cut more there are a whole bunch of tree parts falling off, which then must be hauled off to be either burned as fire wood in the house or burned as plant waste. Now as you would expect when cutting down a tree, there is a lot of bark to go with it.

The bark is not too good for a fireplace, and must be brought to the plant waste pile. I have hauled quite a lot of bark back and forth lately in a wheelbarrow because of this. There is honestly so much work to be done with all of the plants we have here that it sometimes can feel like your work means nothing, but if you want to keep everything nice you must continue.

I have enjoyed my time here immensely, so doing a bit of yard work and upkeep is no problem at all. Hauling off huge piles of dead tree bark and burning it in a huge pit of fire isn't boring work either.

I have always noticed that whenever I make strides and make accomplishments I am at my most healthy mentally, so you should never feel upset or annoyed when a task presents itself in life. Enjoy yourself, and reap the benefits of your hard work after the job is complete!
