To skate or not to skate
Tonight was to be the 7th skate night in the 8 class session I signed up for. Instead, it’s the third one I skipped.
I signed up to get back on my skates for fun but it ended up being way more ‘freshmeat’ practice than ‘free skate’. It was billed more for fun & all levels but out of the 15 of us that show up regularly, only 2 of us are veteran skaters so the freshies win out.
Last week was so much fun. Tonight they sent an email stating there would be an off skates workout before skating. Umm, I can workout at home! I just want to freaking skate!!!
On top of that it’s been raining all day, causing a lot of flooded roads. For me that is a recipe for playing hermit.
So I skipped this week and opted to stay home and do a Piyo workout in my basement gym.
Unfortunately, having paid for the full 8 class session up front, I’ve now paid more per class than if I’d have just paid each night. If I make it to the last class, at least, it’ll only be $1 more per class.
Living life solely for the lessons, I guess.

This is why I almost never pay for things in advance. (Well except for train tickets. But it's not like I can back out of going to work. And anyway my boss actually pays for them.)
Hope you have fun at the classes you do go to. Can you just go and skate by yourself for fun?
Unfortunately no...though i can skate the trails and parks as long as the weather stays dry.
Too bad fairhaven is such a drive :/
