While it may seem horrible for me to say, I believe neither schools nor cops have duty or rights to our kids.

We parents do.

I am confident that this ruling will enable many parents, by causing them enormous cognitive dissonance that they will only be able to resolve by realizing that they alone have that responsibility, to better protect their children - from schools and cops.

Since parents have the responsibility for caring for those they love more than themselves, rational parents learning this will undertake the authority to effect that care. Homeschooling and defending their kids with the lawful means at their disposal.

Folks that can't do this will continue to suffer the inevitable consequences of handing over their children to known vectors far sexual, psychological, and violent abuse - schools, churches, and CPS - and so will their kids. Those aren't the best and brightest, and unfortunately the actual world is dangerous. Folks incapable of protecting them and theirs from harm will suffer it.

Thanks!

Agree with everything you said 100%

The cop PR says, "we are here to serve and protect".
The laws that cops are bound to says, there is no such duty.

  1. We let police officers have a lot of authority and leeway so that they can protect us. Thus, it is appropriate that we should be upset at police officers when they fail.

  2. The adage, you don't need a gun, the cops are there to protect you... is proven false. Still, people believe it.

  3. We the little people have no control over police officers. They are not our public servants. They are actually there to serve and protect the govern-cement.

Legally in America the police don't have to protect anyone who is not in their custody. If they had an obligation to protect people from crime then crime victims could sue them.

Yes. The problem is the fake narratives built around cops protecting people being used against the methods people use to protect themselves.

Yes, it is always interesting to see how shocked some people are when they find out the police have no duty to protect anyone from crime. That's why you have to be able to protect yourself.
