I’m Very Grateful That The Fire Is Out. Many Huge Questions Still Remain. How Did They Rule Out Arson So Fast?

in #paris5 years ago

Like millions of people around the world I was very saddened by the Notre Dame fire. In fact I’m Catholic and I’ve visited the site before. Thankfully most of the foundation is still intact.

Here are a few intriguing questions that I have:

How did they almost immediately rule out arson?
Is it a coincidence that Macron was to make a speech about the yellow vests minutes after the fire began?
Why did the French government not give the entire amount needed for renovations?
Why were there not better precautions to stop a fire in the first place?
How were all of the paintings and relics (thankfully) saved?
Most importantly: Why did the effort to fight the fire seem so minimal?

I’m not saying that there are not answers to these questions. I’m only saying that I hope that honest answers are given.

Yeah, nah. Easy as to change your tune on arson once a scrapegoat is found. Country is alreddy got fighting factions. Don't wanna fan the flames of that fire.
Isnt god great for making meltin temp of gold higher then the temp of wood fires.
Don't make me laugh.

The drones weep over empty facade, while the substance has been dead and gone for the past two generations. What was and is modern-day Notre Dame but a warehouse of trinkets and curiosities for tourists, open 9-5 Beijing standard time? It seems that most of the trinkets have been removed by the tourist ministry of France, so nothing much has been lost. Rather than being concerned about the past two generations of systematic religious and cultural subversion and degradation, the European drones clamor over a tourist trap. The French government ought to demolish the entire edifice and build a satellite Louvre or a functional Mosque, so that the real estate would be put to productive use.

I respect that you have a strong opinion my friend although I strongly disagree. I think that Notre Dame has very powerful symbolism. It gave people the illusion that some things last forever. That illusion was shattered and it’s a very jarring lesson for people. It represents the ingenuity of many generations who worked together to create a long lasting totem for human progress and achievement.

I don’t want to jump to any premature conclusions. There are just many unanswered questions. It’s always peculiar to me how quickly an ‘official’ story takes hold in the media.
