Flew paraglider at a new site in Southern California! New PB! Stayed in air for 1.5 Hours!
Its a beautiful range with an incredible view! 5 Pilots, and thousands of feet of open air to play in! This mountain site is called Palomar Mountain.
There is a fine group of people who own the landing zone. Roberts ranch. He has a airplane runway that he uses for his crop duster. There is a wind sock in the landing zone. (I landed on Roberts runway) just because it was named after me.
The orange groves were all around the landing zone. So you don't have very many options for landing. The farmers would not be happy if you landed in the grove and hurt the orange trees. There is also a old burial ground where they don't want you to land.
My son took these pictures from Roberts Airport.
This was on my way down to the LZ.
This was after my flight.
Here is the video of the whole flight.
Nice bud, have to admit I'm feeling a bit jealous :o)
Come to SD and lets go fly. LOL
Wow, that's wild that you can glide for that long. Thanks for taking us for a virtual ride!
Thanks for jumping in the harness with me! lol
WOW, what a great post, really interesting
Thanks! Hope you enjoy the video.
Nice! That must be somewhere up near the observatory.
I believe so. On good days you can fly up there.
That seems cool
It was incredible!

Wow!!! So jealous Robert :)
My personal best is a meagre 55 mins at Pule back in 2006.
I bet it did your confidence a world of good? :)
Seriously did! I had such a great time. Plus I was able to fly with a Comp pilot. He was very knowledgeable and was an incredible pilot.
