Why Paper Cut Hurts So Much
We are surprised that tiny cuts like a paper cut hurts so much than we expected. Why are these cuts, which usually do not even cause bleeding, so much pain?
The paper cut is very similar to the razor cut except for a difference. While the razor creates a straight and clean cut, it does not leave any pieces that will cause the infection to be left behind. At first, it hurts but pain usually stops in a few minutes.
The paper cut leaves tiny pieces while intertacting with skin that will cause infection later on. Paper is derived from wood and various chemical substances. As the paper cuts through the skin, these substances stay inside the wound and stimulate the pain receptors on the skin.
Because it is a small wound, the skin immediately closes. However, the remaining particles continue to disturb you.
All in all, it is kind of funny to say, but you must be very careful with papers.
Nice post.
