This documentary about the problem in Seattle doesn't solve anything, but looks at issues creating it. I also recommend the documentary Poverty Inc. which doesn't focus on Homelessness, but rather the business of "Helping".

Seattle has extremely expensive housing, has become a sanctuary city. It's no longer fun to visit and Spokane is following closely in it's foot steps.

I don't understand the idea we are supposed to let everyone in the World into the USA, but also complain about not having enough, schools, housing, well paid jobs, healthcare...

The idea we can be everything to everyone is impossible.
