Yep, the title says it all, the Plankton Token is primarily for helping newbies and minnows thus we have made sure that it gives benefits to people who just keep them. Does this mean big fishes cannot have this token? NO. In fact, we need their help and we hope they support us and at the same time, we will provide them perks and support, too. We simply just give perks and give back to everyone who supports the token, simple as that.

How can you get PLKN tokens?

You can get them free from some games we sponsor, from our events in Discord, by making good content and valuable comments and also, you can get them free when make a promotional post for PLKN. Other than those, you can buy PLKN from the Steem Engine DEx and help the PLKN economy.

What's the difference between getting it free vs buying it?

Buying at least 5 PLKN gives you the perks of getting voted once a day by the @plankton.token account and the @mermaidvampire account. You also get the minimum profit shares, almost daily. Profit shares are dependent on the posts of this account and its payout. You can earn more profit shares and bigger upvotes in other tiers. We have 3 tiers at the moment. Holder's tier is 5 PLKN to <20 PLKN. VIP tier is at 20 PLKN <100 PLKN. The Richlist tier is 100 PLKN and above. You will also get a 0.1 Steem Power boost, a one time boost when you purchase a minimum of 5 PLKN.

If you get PLKN for FREE, you can also get upvotes by sending 10 PLKN to @plankton.token or @mermaidvampire and you will get 30% upvotes from @plankton.token and 10% from @mermaidvampire for a month. You can also trade those free token in the Steem Engine DEx and earn Steems from them.

Do PLKN have staking?

Yes, we do. But it is not autostaking in Steem-Engine. We do give 1% when you HOLD 100 PLKN, this is given every end of the month. This June 30, 2019, it will be the 3rd time for some of our richlist holders to get this staking rewards. This is a perk for those who would buy the token in big bulks.
