Experimenting Together

I basically have zero experience with a paint brush. I've always wanted to try, but just never seemed to get around to it. My wife, as many of you already know is a professional artist. She's been trying to get me to do something with her for years. She came up with this idea that she calls Manifestations.

So here's how it works. She draws a sketch onto a canvas, while I draw my own sketch on a different canvas. We then switch the canvases and paint them however we see fit. The Above image is of the first few that we did. I think they came out pretty funny.

I wish that I had taken a photo of all of them before we started because a couple of them diverged quite a bit from the original drawing. I feel like we are really leaning toward drawing weird monsters, which is fine with me! I am having a lot of fun with it.

Here are some canvases that we alreadyt drew pictures on but have yet to be painted. I drew the two characters on the left, and she drew the 3 boobed/legged woman on the bottom right:

We probably won't be able to get back over there and play with them for a couple of weeks, but I'm looking forward to finishing them off. We bought a huge pile of mini canvases so we should have plenty to do for the foreseeable future. Be sure to check back to see the rest! Thanks for stopping by.
