All you have to do in order to claim your free PALcoins is visit steem-engine.com and log in. (Alright, you'll have to drop a few more clicks, but it's really easy to figure it out once you've logged in.)

Why would I want to claim those tokens?

Because it's free money, and you can choose to either stake or trade them against Steem. I chose to stake mine, and intend to keep posting using the #palnet tag in order to earn more from PAL holders who upvote my posts. You can do it too. Can't wait to see you on PALnet!

Fresh air and new hope.

It's great to see another awesome community-led effort to empower the Steem ecosystem. This is what decentralization is all about, and it's very inspiring to see that a group of dedicated users decided to take matters into their own hands, and do something about what they think needs to change. Whether or not we agree with their views, action is all that matters, and this is a truth universally acknowledged.

The best part is that you can remain active on the PAL network by just using the #palnet tag every time you publish something on the Steem blockchain. This is another great initiative that aims to incentivize long term holders and people looking to build a platform on this amazing blockchain of ours. This is for the visionaries, the crazy ones.
