Digital mining is a thing on Steem now 😊. It is a super new thing, and maybe available only on the Steem BC as Aggroed him self mentioned in one of his interviews.

What is digital mining?

Basically, this is how it works:

But first there needs to be token with a working community and then the option for digital mining, that is now provided (invented?) from the Steem Engine team.
To start to mine a token with a working community just buy the mining token and stake it.

Just a couple of days ago I was writing a post about Steem for investors and saw that this type of inveting is a brand new thing on the Steem BC, or Steem Engine to be more precise. I was thinking, I’m doing a post and checking out the new things, why not invest something for my own. Then just a few days after, @aggroed put this post saying that till now, there is 100k dollars invested in ENG mining tokens, 100k in SCT mining token and 40k in PAL miners. This are some serious numbers considering just how new is this thing.

At the moment there are three tokens that have a working community and the digital mining option, that I’m aware of:

• ENG, mining token EM and EMFOUR
• PAL, mining token PALM and PALMM,
• SCT, mining token SCTM

The EMFOUR and PALMM are mining 4 times faster then the regular mining tokens EM and PALM and are 3 time more expensive. That is 25% discount on those. The SCT token doesn’t have that kind of mining token at the moment.

All of them staked and mining 😊.
I have put around 150$ in these tokens with the biggest stake in EMFOUR around 100$. These is a symbolic investment, but I’m very curious how will this turn out. It is sort of a test. I have converted some EOS for this purpose. Will see how it goes in the next weeks and decide the next steps. Will I be putting more or stepping out.

I will also make some ROI calculation in the future and put a post about it.
