Good morning to all dear Steemians friends!
Today I share a large-format watercolor, which I created for a "live" painting competition.
A bank organized the competition and all the participants had to make a painting with any technique of their choice.
The theme of the competition was the "Roman campaign" and was to be realized in 8 hours.
The prizes were 3 for a total prize of 2000 euros.
I arrived 2nd but also received the special critics award with a beautiful bas-relief of a famous artist.
Now the picture is owned by the bank that has rewarded me with 700 euros.
I wanted to represent a lost corner of an old dam with around characteristic elements of the Lazio countryside, the giant maritime pines, and the old limestone dam of the bridge dam.
Autumn and soft colors have been a counterpoint to the ancient atmosphere of the countryside.

Buongiorno a tutti cari amici Steemians!
Oggi condivido un acquarello di grande formato, che ho realizzato per una gara di pittura "live".
Una banca ha organizzato il concorso e tutti i partecipanti dovevano realizzare un dipinto con qualsiasi tecnica a scelta.
Il tema del concorso era la "campagna romana" ed era da realizzare in 8 ore.
I premi in palio erano 3 per un montepremi totale di 2000 euro.
Sono arrivato 2° ma ho anche ricevuto il premio speciale della critica con un bellissimo bassorilievo di un artista famoso.
Ora il quadro è di proprietà della banca che mi ha premiato con 700 euro.
Ho voluto rappresentare un angolo perduto di una vecchia diga con intorno elementi caratteristici della campagna del Lazio, i pini marittimi giganti, e il vecchio sbarramento in pietra calcarea della diga-ponte.
I colori autunnali e tenui hanno fatto da contrappunto all'atmosfera antica della campagna.
