"the night meets the day"_____oil on canvas /// "la notte incontra il giorno"_____olio su tela
As some friends of Steemit (on Discord) have suggested to me today I do not want to describe my motivations and research that led me to paint this large picture.
It is not a really contest, but only a way of having comments that may be useful for my publications, so those who participate are aware that his comment will be able to use it for online publications, examples of study for my students and other educational material .
I leave to my friends the choice to comment and describe the subject of my pictorial work.
The title of the painting can give you an opportunity to comment.
I will give a minimum vote to all congruous and non-trivial comments ... as for example; "beautiful picture" or "congratulations for the work" and other trivia that are raging on Steemit!
The most interesting comment that I will choose will have my 100% rating and the editor will have my 100% vote on his posts for a week (calculated on Italian time).
This work is the winner of the third absolute painting award in the city of Castel Gandolfo and is owned by a swiss bank.
Come mi hanno suggerito alcuni amici di Steemit (su Discord) oggi non voglio descrivere le mie motivazioni e ricerche che mi hanno portato a dipingere questo quadro di grandi dimensioni.
Non è un vero contest, ma solo un modo personale di avere dei commenti che potranno tornarmi utili per delle mie pubblicazioni, quindi chi partecipa, è consapevole che il suo commento potrò usarlo per pubblicazioni on-line, esempi di studio per i miei studenti ed altro materiale didattico.
Lascio ai miei amici followers la scelta di commentare e descrivere il soggetto del mio lavoro pittorico.
Il titolo del quadro può darvi uno spunto per commentare.
Darò un voto minimo a tutti i commenti congrui e non banali...come ad esempio; "bellissimo quadro" oppure "complimenti per il lavoro" ed altre banalità che stanno imperversando su Steemit!
Il commento più interessante che sceglierò avrà il mio voto 100% e il curatore avrà il mio voto al 100% ai suoi post per una settimana (calcolata sull'ora italiana)

This piece to me is almost the antithesis to Munch's "Scream". In his work the figure is caught in a turmoil of self and it's reflected in his environment, here the figure, also solitary and in the foreground, seems to be at one with his world. The soft guazy hues of the world in which he inhabits is mirrored in his/her own face and head.
Is he/she wearing a hat with head down to the wind? Doe he/she simply have the blankness of face becoming all of us enjoying his connection with the world from sky to trees to city behind.
If Munch's work is "the scream" this is "the sigh".

Dire che anche oggi il materiale di cui parlare concede allo spettatore molto più che uno spunto. In questo simil-contest vorrei valutare il quadro dal mio punto di vista, sperando che la mia analisi risulti essere affine alla tua o comunque calzante.
Il quadro trasmette in primo luogo un forte messaggio di movimento e dinamicità. Tutti i vari elementi presenti nel dipinto tendono ad avere o dare un motivo per fomentare quest'idea: il cielo con le sue nuvole avvolte dal vento, proveniente dalla piccola vallatina in primo piano (creando un legame terra-cielo), in un turbinio fa da spettatore alla transizione che regola la luce ed il buio, con il sole che tende a tornare protagonista della giornata. I colori del cielo mostrano proprio come una maggiore oscurità sul lato sinistro vengano sommersi dalla maggiore luminosità del versante opposto.
Il focus di contestualizzazione del dipinto parte proprio dal cielo, ma attraerso un percorso di pennellate si ritrova sulla strada che esce dall'agglomerato di case. Un insieme di colori e tratti che portano inevitabilmente al viandante; quale sia la sua meta non è dato saperlo: vagare per il mondo o semplicemente andare a cercar fortuna altrove.
I tratti di colore sono allegoricamente metafora del viaggio e di un allontanamento dinamico dal centro abitato, quasi a voler significare come un nuovo giorno rappresenti nell'uomo il dovere di uscire dal proprio guscio urbano per andare a cercare un qualcosa al di fuori di ciò che per lui è ormai troppo familiare.

It is a beautiful piece, @armandosodano <3 The way the colours and lighting are applied have a very organic relationship with shapes and contours on this piece. It feels like watching a scene from a dream where night colours are visible to the naked eyes.
The lone figure walking seems as if he's turning away from the cities and walking towards the ruins... And he is right in between the two, as if he embodies where the night meets the day :>
