The Block: the next Amazon? Contest Originalworks
Hey, steemiens;
I'm writing this article for a contest sponsored by @originalworks and BitBoost, I'll try to show you what I understood from the project.
I hope my English is correct because I am French.
So I first had to translate all the white paper into French (available in English but also in Chinese and Japanese!) to make sure I understood everything.
I notice immediately when I logged into the BitBoost site that he uses the term TGE (Token Generating Event) and not ICO like SmartOne Legal! I
And yes! is also located in Zug in the crypto valley in Switzerland.
The token is the BBT of which 100 M will be issued.
Here you can find here the distribution of tokens.
And here's the roadmap:
The TGE ends on November 9 and the following amount has already been collected:
But what is BitBoost and The Block?
It's an e-commerce solution with a decentralized marketplace on the blockchain ETH called The Block (currently in BETA version, I downloaded the application. Look!
The tutorial is very pleasant and allows you to be guided.
It's really simple and very intuitive.
The most important points are:
- decentralized,
- confidentiality,
- protection of funds (escrow system),
- fee low cost,
- speed of The block,,
- ease of payment,
- translation into 20 languages to allow access to as many people as possible.
They have already tested The Block on the blockchain NXT (Ardor) I don't know if you know?
You can imagine all the people in the world who don't have access to online commerce because they don't have a bank account or no credit card.
No more need for intermediaries for payment with cryptocurrency just need the ethereum address.
Payment is made between buyer and seller directly unless there is a problem, an arbitrator can come to find a solution and block the money.
Registration fees, transactions... will be paid in BTT while the payment of purchases is in ETH.
To register on the marketplace, you don't need to reveal everything like on Amazon, Ebay... just need an email address.
The address or any other message could be given to the seller but not on the blockchain but by encrypted messages (integration of TOR planned).
They would like to give people more security!
We all know someone who has had problems with his credit card that was hacked after shopping on the internet? Yes, mine was hacked into and they have for 700 € (it was long and complicated to get them back).
With The Block, you don't need to take out your payment card or go to Paypal... no.
No need to divulge any personal information that will be sold for advertising purposes!
What about the white paper?
He's really awesome. It is very complete and it even repeats the history of money, 7000 years ago, great, it's exciting!
As far as the team is concerned, it is really very heterogeneous with people from different professional backgrounds, from different countries and this can only be a great asset.
I find that they are very transparent and even indicate the cryptocurrency that have a marketplace (Safemarket, Bitmarkets, Openbazaar...) explaining how they work.
There is also the smartcontract which is very important, an escrow system and a reputation system of sellers and buyers for more transparency.
The emphasis is also on the fact that there will be no illegal products like on Hansa, Silk road before they close.
In 2019 they plan to become OPEN SOURCE.
You can even host your own instance with a local copy like @evildido, a French steemien who hosts his own Steemit!
Here is a graph to explain how it works:
Finally, I wanted to show you BitBoost sent me a bit of crypto to test the BETA version, look I'm rich: -)
So I bought a computer in less than 2 minutes!
It is extremely easy. There is a French expression that says that women heat up their husbands' payment cards, here it is the wallets that will heat up if it's that easy. :-)
