See, I would have to disagree with your analysis. A combustible liqud in a cave could be a really bad idea. What if there is a pocket of natural gas? What if there's not adequate air flow, and the cave fills with smoke? Or it burns all the oxygen? Dangerous outcome there.
I'd say the best combat style would be bow and arrow with an accompanying short sword for close melee. You can use the bow to take out enemies silently if you're in a large cave, and it could also be used to fire rope across chasms for exploration. It is still problematic in that the bow would be hard to use in tight spaces, which most caves likely would have.
