Origin of Life
Our planet was very different and unstable 4 billion years ago. Land slides, Volcanic activities were very frequent and there were a huge amount of methane(CH4), Hydrogen and Ammonia(NH4) gases in the atmosphere. Generally, these instabilities and extreme conditions would have resulted in the creation of a beautiful thing called Life. How life began? Well, There are a plenty of scientific theories about how life began but very few facts. We cannot approve one theory with full confidence as there are a very few facts available. A lot of scientists are working on finding the origin of life and some of them has even spent their complete lifetime in finding the correct answer but no clear discovery.
All scientists can agree on the fact that all the species having simple to complex DNA are originated from a common ancestor. That means Genetically, we all have at least one common thing. We don’t know about the first living organism, our ancestor, but most of the theories suggesting about 3,900 million years ago, Extreme Natural conditions gave birth to the first living organism. This single micro organism kept on transforming and giving birth to its clild resulting into increasing complexity of these organisms over time.
Now the question is how the first micro organism took its birth? There are several theories explaining the birth of the first living organism. Some seems agreeable but others conflict. A few of them that I find interesting are :
General Theory? A living organism body is nothing but a beautiful architecture of molecules chained with each other. There are a lot of different molecular reactions going on in the atmosphere, nature and water. These molecules may have come together at one place and have reacted with each other under extreme condition giving birth to life.
Lightening? Beginning of life may be a result of lightening. A lightening can generate a huge amount of energy and catalyse the chemical reactions in the atmosphere containing gases like CH4, H2, H2O and more, resulting in the generation sugar and amino acids(R-CH(NH2)-COOH).All these thing would have come together and helped in the basic block development of a living organism. The reaction continues to further helped living species to become more and more complex over time.
Catalytic Reactions Under Sea water? It is a known fact that there is a lot of reactions going on in the deep sea. These could have accumulated a huge and concentrated the amount of hydrogen and other minerals may have catalysed the chemical reaction to a very optimum level and resulted in the birth of life.
Aliens? Other theories include that life was not born on Earth but was brought here by aliens from outer space. The first life form then kept on transforming itself over time spontaneously and followed by a complex DNA and RNA of its child and this chain continued. This leads to a lot of conspiracy and doubt that we are just an experiment or do we really have an existence?
Well, There is a lot of research going on by great scientists. Let’s hope to find the answer soon(In this lifetime)!

Nice post.
There is a lot of very convincing evidence that life arrived via comets and is in fact widespread across the universe. A lot of research has gone into this over the years by the scientists Fred Hoyle and Chandra Wickramasinghe, and they have a very well developed theory of how this would work and lead to evolution on a universal scale. See my post...

VERY good information. Great post! thank you!
I doubt, we'll ever conclude what exactly brought life to earth or catalyzed the creation of the first microorganism here, but in my opinion it microorganisms were delivered by space rocks (asteroids or comets) after the earth cooled. There's already evidence of plankton clinging to the outside of the I.S.S. still alive without a clue as to how it got there. There are so many possibilities, and i am sure we will find evidence of life elsewhere in the cosmos within the next 50 years. Probably sooner. Exciting times for discovery. Thanks for the post, this is probably my favorite topic to read on
Yep! There are a lot of theories. A lot of them looks promising but do not have enough evidence to prove its existence. Lets hope we find the answer soon!
