@road2nowhere is always banging on about how Nickelback and Chad Kroeger is the best and as many times as i cover them as requested its seems that @road2nowhere is 'nowhere' to be seen when i do ;) So i decided to give their song Hero a cover to appease the R2N gods in official Openmic stylez.
Again the songs i choose to play all have some kind of meaning in my life, it may not be the exactly what is intended by the writer, but it resonates with me in a particular way.... and that is what i like about music, that it can be interpretive.
What this track represents to me is that we all have the ability to be the hero, the one that saves the day, be it for others or ourselves... we just have to be brave enough to take the action need and not wait for someone else to save us, but sometimes we fail to realize the power we have within us.

I remember I was a teenager when the song came out and I instantly loved it . I don't know if I loved more the song or the singer though :D
Your version is very nice to hear. There is nothing more needed to this song than a guitar and good voice and you have them both :)

I have always been a big comic book fan since i was a kid, which was odd for an Australian growing up, and Spiderman was my favorite.
Needless to say I was a fan when the first film came out, and covering the this song was at the top of the to do list after watching the movie :)
But with much of the 'hate' on Nickelback these days, its not something i get to play much, so it was fun to dust off this oldie but goodie and give it a go.

I love Nickelback and Chad Kroeger 😍 It's one of my favorite band. I've recognized the song right away without even reading your post. Hero is a great song and as I see you like it too. Your interpretation is a bit different but very good. You have a pleasant voice, this song suits you.

Thanks for the love @amberyooper :) im more of a finger picker than a 'pick' kinda guy, i learned how to use a pick about 1-2 years before my accident but have lost most of it, my muscle memory is stronger for finger picking... so i would say im a sometimes 'pick' guy, lolz
