Friends of steemit once again I stand before you in this prestigious contest with a theme by Master Luis Eduardo Aute, "The 4 and 10" is for me one of his best compositions of this artist and I wanted to share it with you. Luis Eduardo Aute Gutiérrez (Manila, Philippines, September 13, 1943) 1 is a Spanish musician, singer-songwriter, film director, actor, sculptor, writer, painter and poet. Although he is mainly known as a singer-songwriter, he also stands out as a painter and as a film director. He speaks the languages Spanish, English, Catalan, French, Italian and Tagalog.
Luis Eduardo Aute, versatile artist: painter, filmmaker and, above all, poet and singer. His record work, from those Diálogos de Rodrigo and Jimena (RCA Victor, 1967), reaches 26 albums, 4 of them live, without counting the 2 tribute albums in 2000 and 2015. Luis Eduardo Aute was born in the city of Manila of the Philippine Islands on September 13, 1943, where he lived the first ten years of his life until in 1953 he moved to Spain, where he lived first in Barcelona and later in Madrid.
In 1960 Aute made his first pictorial exhibition in Madrid, since painting will be one of the great dedications in his life. Musically Aute is a late vocation and spends many years until he learns to play the guitar and compose his own songs. He is a big fan of geniuses like Bob Dylan, John Lennon or Peter Grabriel.
The year 1967 is the one that appears to Aute musician. This year he publishes his first album: Diálogos de Rodrigo y Jimena, edited by the label RCA, where songs that have accompanied the rest of his life as Hallelujah No. 1 or Roses in the Sea (later immortalized by Massiel) already appear. Currently, this album is discontinued.
Between the years 1968 and 1977, Aute made five more albums, which include songs such as Inside, Somehow, The Four and Ten or Anda.
In 1971 he received the First Prize for Painting at the XXVIII Mostra Fundazione Michetti, in Italy.
In 1976 Aute composed for Rosa Leon his most famous song, "Al Alba", which is an allegation against the death penalty and recounts the last night of a condemned to death in the form of a love story. He did it in this way for fear of the repression of the Francoists, as it still hovered in the shadow of censorship by our country.
In 1978 Aute edits one of his most important albums 'Albanta' where he includes the already mentioned 'Al Aalba' and other important topics like 'A by the Sea' or 'De Paso'.
But if something is remarkable Luis Eduardo Aute is for its multifaceted life, since apart from music, so it is better known, has stood out in other fields of art as poetry, since it has published four books of poems ( "The mathematics of the mirror", "The liturgy of disorder", "Animal" and "Poemigas"); the cinema, since he has directed several short films and recently a feature film, or painting, which has already been mentioned.
Between 1981 and 1987, Luis Eduardo Aute edited 8 albums, among which "Entre Amigos" stands out, in which Silvio, Serrat, Pablo Milanés and others sing their songs. In this time he composes outstanding songs like I Feel That I'm Losing You, One of Two or Without Your Beat, and an entire album for Pepa Flores (Marisol) under that name, 'Pepa Flores'.
Aute has also been an important person in the fight against the Franco regime and with his songs and recitals he has 'challenged' the Francoist repressors many times, even making fun of the censorship and 'colarles' them a song that represents a masturbation, Inside. Among his many songs with political commitment, highlight Aleluya No. 1, Beauty, Al Alba or Freedom.
In 1989 he published Segundos Fuera, where the song "La Belleza" stands out, and until 1993 he edits Uff and Slowly. In 1995 he edited Alevosía, which awakens interest in the artist again, and already in 1998 he published Aire / Invisible, a double CD with 16 songs in Spanish and 15 in English. This album is the result of Aute's desire to release an album with songs in English, but not to disappoint his Hispanic fans, he decided to release it with the same number of songs in Spanish (or more) on all his albums. In this phenomenal album stand out, among many songs, Prefer Love and Five Minutes.
In the year 2000, a record tribute to Luis Eduardo Aute was released by Ariola under the name Mira que Eres Canalla, Aute, in which his best friends from the world of music sing his own songs. Thus, we can find on this album Joan Manuel Serrat, Silvio Rodriguez, Joaquin Sabina, Ismael Serrano ... and so on up to 18 artists who show their love and admiration to Aute.
Luis Eduardo Aute, with more than 20 albums on the market, is one of the most prolific artists on the music scene, and although in Spain he does not have the success he deserves, we can say that a person who is capable of composing a song like " Beauty "in just a few hours can be considered a genius.

Musicalmente Aute es de vocación tardía y pasa muchos años hasta que aprende a tocar la guitarra y componer sus propios temas. Es gran fan de genios como Bob Dylan, John Lennon o Peter Grabriel.
El año 1967 es el que ve aparecer al Aute músico. Este año edita su primer álbum: Diálogos de Rodrigo y Jimena, editado por el sello RCA, donde ya aparecen canciones que le han acompañado el resto de su vida como Aleluya Nº 1 o Rosas en el Mar (posteriormente inmortalizada por Massiel). Actualmente, este disco está descatalogado.
Entre los años 1968 y 1977, Aute realiza cinco álbumes más, en los que se encuentran canciones como Dentro, De Alguna Manera, Las Cuatro y Diez o Anda.
En 1971 recibe el Primer Premio de Pintura en la XXVIII Mostra Fundazione Michetti, en Italia.
En 1976 Aute compone para Rosa Leon su más conocida cancion, "Al Alba", que es un alegato contra la pena de muerte y narra la última noche de un condendo a muerte bajo la forma de una historia de amor. Lo hizo de esta manera por miedo a las represarias de los franquistas, ya que todavia rondaba la sombra de la censura por nuestro país.
En 1978 Aute edita uno de sus discos mas importantes 'Albanta' donde incluye la ya mencionada 'Al Aalba' y otros temas importantes com 'A por el Mar' o 'De Paso'.
Pero si por algo es destacable Luis Eduardo Aute es por su polifacética vida, ya que a parte de la música, por lo que es más conocido, ha destacado en otros campos del arte como la poesía, ya que tiene editados cuatro libros de poemas ("La matemática del espejo", "La liturgia del desorden", "Animal" y "Poemigas"); el cine, ya que ha dirigido varios cortos y hace poco un largometraje, o la pintura, que ya ha sido mencionada.
Entre 1981 y 1987, Luis Eduardo Aute edita 8 discos, entre los que destaca "Entre Amigos", en el que Silvio, Serrat, Pablo Milanés y otros cantan sus canciones. En esta época compone canciones destacadas como Siento que te Estoy Perdiendo, Una de Dos o Sin tu Latido, y un disco entero para Pepa Flores (Marisol) bajo ese nombre, 'Pepa Flores'.
Aute ha sido también una persona importante en la lucha contra el franquismo y con sus canciones y sus recitales ha 'desafiado' muchas veces a los represores franquistas, logrando incluso burlarse de la censura y 'colarles' una cancion que representa una masturbación, Dentro. Entre sus muchas canciones con compromiso político, destacan Aleluya Nº1, La Belleza, Al Alba o Libertad.
En 1989 edita Segundos Fuera, donde destaca la canción "La Belleza", y hasta 1993 edita Uff y Slowly. En este año sale a la luz Mano a Mano, un disco resultado de la gira realizada con su gran amigo Silvio Rodríguez, en el que aparecen las mejores canciones de cada uno de estos dos autores y emocionaron al público allá por donde pasaron.
En 1995 edita Alevosía, que hace despertar de nuevo el interés por el artista, y ya en 1998 publica Aire/Invisible, un doble cd con 16 canciones en castellano y 15 en inglés. Este álbum es fruto de un deseo de Aute de sacar un disco con canciones en inglés, pero para no defraudar a sus fans hispanos, decidió sacarlo doble con el mismo número de canciones en castellano (o más) que saca en todos sus discos. En este fenomenal disco destacan, entre muchas canciones, Prefiero Amar y Cinco Minutos.
En el año 2000 fue editado por Ariola un disco homenaje a Luis Eduardo Aute bajo el nombre Mira que Eres Canalla, Aute, en el que sus mejores amigos del mundo de la música le cantan sus propias canciones. Así, nos podemos encontrar en este disco a Joan Manuel Serrat, Silvio Rodríguez, Joaquín Sabina, Ismael Serrano... y así hasta 18 artistas que demuestran su cariño y admiración a Aute.
Luis Eduardo Aute, con más de 20 discos en el mercado, es uno de los artiscas más prolificos del panorama musical, y aunque en España no tenga el éxito que se merece, podemos decir que una persona que es capaz de componer una canción como "La Belleza" en tan solo unas horas puede considerarse un genio.
