Open Mic Week 14 - "Huber Breaker Blues" - an original instrumental by Andy LoughneysteemCreated with Sketch.

Hey Steemians.

This is a bluesy original instrumental named after a coal breaker in Northeast PA.  It was a real emblem of the coal industry there until being demolished about five years or so ago.  I wrote this song when it was still standing proud.

There are some rough parts in this version, toward the end during the second loop.  One thing that happened was that my soloing got recorded and started adding another layer to the loop and so it gets kind of chaotic, but I decided to just roll with it and it builds to this really intense point before I drop that loop out.  So, I thought it had enough good energy to send it along and it was getting late and another take was pushing it.  Hope you enjoy!

Nice guitar work. Got you added into the cue for this week.

to just so look the part!! got a little rock n roll stain on ya.. feeling it my friend. great job!

I love this, I definitely listened to something of yours before, not sure if I commented but I remember thinking that your music and your set up reminded me of visiting my cousin in Rensselaer NY where he was going to college for environmental engineering. Good beer, good green lol, and good music 24/7. The first concert I ever went to was Phish, he bought us second row tickets at a show that had tens of thousands of people. Good memories!

Probably saw Phish at Pepsi Arena then? I saw a number of shows there back in the day. Thanks for the nice comments!

SPAC actually :)

ahhh, yes, nice.
