1. Paul Krugman

Paul Krugman is an American economist and columnist for The New York Times.

He currently works as professor of economics at University of New York.

Previously, he has worked with MIT and Princeton Universities as professor of economics.

Besides being professor and columnist, he has authored about 27 books.

He is a recipient of Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics in 2008 for his contributions to New Trade Theory.

He is also a Fellow of American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

2. Frank Gehry

Frank Gehry is a Canadian-American architect who is famous for architectural works like Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, MIT Ray and Maria Stata Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, New World Center in Miami Beach, Dancing House in Prague to name a few.

Vanity Fair has called him as The Most Important Architect of Our Age.

His work reflects a spirit of experimentation coupled with a respect for the demands of professional practice and has remained largely unaligned with broader stylistic tendencies or movements.

He is a Fellow of American Academy of Arts and Letters, Pritzker Architecture Prize winner, National Medal of Arts winner and has also won Presidential Medal of Freedom and has been a honorary doctorate holder from various universities.

3. Linus Pauling

Linus Pauling was an American chemist, biochemist, author, educator and peace activist who has published more than 1200 papers and books almost on scientific topics and he has been depicted as One of the 20 Greatest Scientists of All Time by New Scientist science magazine.

He was one of the founders of fields of quantum chemistry and molecular biology and his contributions to the theory includes the concept of orbital hybridization and the first scale of electromagnetism of the elements.

He was awarded with Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1954 for his overall scientific work and he was also awarded with Nobel Peace Prize in 1962 for his peace activities and thus he is one of the 4 personnel who have won more than one Nobel Prize and interestingly, he is the only person to be awarded with 2 unshared Nobel Prizes.

4. Thomas Newcomen

Thomas Newcomen was an English inventor and creator of first practical steam engine in 1712 called as Newcomen atmospheric engine.

He was an ironmonger by profession and used to work as Baptist lay preacher and used to be a specialist in designing, manufacturing and selling tools for mining industry.

5. Ravindra Jain

Ravindra Jain was an Indian music composer and lyricist who was born blind and was a role model for many people because of his ability to overcome the disability of blindness.

He has won a Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for film Ram Teri Ganga Maili.

He was also honoured in 2015 by Indian government by awarding him the fourth highest Indian civilian award Padma Shri.
