1. Shawn Johnson

Shawn Johnson is a former American artistic gymnast and 2008 Olympic balance beam gold medalist.

She became a member of US senior gymnastics team in 2007 and made a mark in the debut year itself by winning the all-around at American cup, Pan American Games, U S National Championships and world championships.

In the 2008 Olympics, along with her gold medal in balance beam, she also won silver medals in all-around, team and floor exercise events.

She had to retire in 2012 just after 5 years after turning senior pro because of repetitive injury on her left knee.

In 2009, she was named by Forbes as "America's Most Liked Sports Figure".

She has been inducted into USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2013.

Besides gymnastics she has a liking for dance and was the winner of "Dancing With the Stars" competition from ABC in 2009.

2. James Watt

James Watt was a Scottish inventor, a mechanical engineer and chemist who is the inventor of Steam Engine famously known as Watt Steam Engine.

He was working as an instrument designer at University of Glasgow when he got interest in steam engines and felt that the contemporary steam engines waste lot of energy because of repeated cooling and re-heating of the cylinder and suggested a modified design to separate the condenser which was the reason for wastage of energy.

He is also remembered for development of horsepower(unit of measurement of power) and SI unit of power "Watt" is named after him in his honour.

He was a Fellow of Royal Society of Edinburgh.

He was one of the inaugural inductee to Scottish Engineering Hall of Fame in 2013.

3. Henry Bessemer

Henry Bessemer was an English inventor in the field of steel, iron and glass and is regarded as one of the significant innovators of Second Industrial Revolution(a phase of rapid industrialization in the final third of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th).

His process of steelmaking became the most important technique in steel making in 19th century.

He was Knighted by Queen Victoria in 1879 for his inventions.

He was also elected as Fellow of Royal Society in 1879. He was also made a honorary member of American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1895.

4. Stefan Edberg

Stefan Edberg is Swedish former tennis player who is a 9 grand-slam winner(6 singles titles and 3 doubles titles) and was world number 1 in singles rankings.

He was part of Swedon's Davis Cup winning team.

He retired from tennis in 1996 and in 2014, he started coaching Roger Federer till 2015.

He has been inducted into International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2004.

5. Javier Pérez de Cuéllar

Javier Pérez de Cuéllar is a Peruvian diplomat and former Prime Minister of Peru(2000-2001) who served as 5th General Secretary of United Nations from 1982 to 1991.

He is a member of Club de Madrid, which is a group of more than 100 former prime ministers and presidents from different countries, which works on strengthening the democracy all over the world.

At 98 years, he is the oldest living former Peruvian prime minister and former general secretary of UN.

I went thru some of your blogs, those are nice. But, try to include the reference from where the content is referred from and even the source of images and gif's. This ensures, you are following some of the rules of Steemit and can avoid getting flagged from @cheetah, @steemcleaners etc.
