1. John Kerry

John Kerry is an American politician who was the United States Secretary of State from 2013 to 2017.

He was a Presidential nominee from Democratic party in 2004 Presidential election, which he lost to George W. Bush.

Before joining politics, Kerry was in Vietnam for a shorter period as part of Naval Reserve and served as Officer In Charge and then joined politics to be a senator from Massachusetts.

2. Robert Koch

Robert Koch was a German physician and microbiologist who is known as founder of modern bacteriology.

Koch identified the causative agents of tuberculosis, cholera and anthrax.

For the research related to tuberculosis, Koch was awarded with Nobel prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1905.

Koch was also the proposer of 4 criterion which establish relationship between a microbe and a disease, the 4 proposals are known as Koch's four postulates.

3. Paul Greengard

Paul Greengard is an American neuroscientist who is known for his works related to molecular and cellular functions of neurons.

He works as a professor in Rockefeller university and also the advisory board of the funding organization known as "Cure Alzheimer's Fund".

He along with Arvid Karlson and Eric Kandel were awarded with Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2000 for discoveries related to signal transduction in nervous system.

4. Mark Greatbatch

Mark Greatbatch was a New Zealand cricketer who was a left handed batsman and played 41 Tests for New Zealand.

He is more remembered for his effort of scoring 146 from 485 balls against Australia in Perth in 1989, which helped New Zealand avoid defeat.

He is also considered as the first pinch hitter to score quick runs by taking advantage of field restrictions.

After his retirement he worked as director of coaching for Warwickshire cricket club and he was appointed as coach of New Zealand cricket team in 2010.

5. Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio is an American professional wrestler.

He was a regular in the period 1995 to 2015 famous for his high-flying Lucha libre style (Luch libre means free fight in Mexico for a form of professional wrestling).

He has won World Heavyweight Championship, WWE championship, WWE tag team championship and WWE Intercontinental championships along with WWC and WCW championships during his wrestling period.

He is currently part of Lucha Underground.

I never thought I would ever see Robert Koch, someone who I have wrote many high school essays on, and Rey Mysterio, my childhood hero, in the same post! This is great!
