***LIFE PURPOSE***

When I write a post about a particular topic, it's quite normal to reserve the best part, which is the central theme for the middle or the end of the post; at least, so my readers will stay clued to their seats as they read. I like to prevent them from scrolling away from my post (so I keep them curious, sometimes). But, for some rather strange reasons, I have decided to open up on the main theme of this writeup though a contest, so I will state emphatically that:

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS A LIFE OF PURPOSE. ~Anonymous

Isn't that a huge fact, that: the purpose of life is a life of purpose!? Indeed, it is. It is a life of purpose that really counts. Let me say that if you live a life without purpose, it's a 'useless' kind of life. But, I really don't want to lose you, my reader so...... First:
What is purpose?
Quickly read through these:

An object to be reached; a target; an aim; a goal.A result that is desired; an intention.The act of intending to do something; resolution; determination.
The subject of discourse; the point at issue.The reason for which something is done, or the reason it is done in a particular way.

But, for the purpose of this writeup, I will define purpose as one's reason for living!
It's one's reason for waking up every morning, what one hopes or plans to achieve in life in general. Nothing, abs nothing is more important in life than living for something.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

Since we know what purpose is, how can one discover his or her purpose; the following are the ways we can discover our reason for living:

1. Ask God: I really do not mean to sound like your pastor or bishop, but if you really want to know your purpose in life, you have got to ask the giver of life.

Only the giver of life know the purpose for each life given.

1. Look within yourself: what do you love to do and you can do without stress, isn't singing, dancing, footballing or what? You must look at your life well to decide what sparks you which will help you in discovering your purpose.

2. Talk to people: really, you have to talk to people because:

Sometimes, people see in you what you can't see for yourself.

Ask them what they think about your giftedness. They will amaze you by their response. Just in case you are wondering the kind of people you should talk to, I mean everyone close enough to truly know your abilities.

Hindrances to a Purposeful Life
Here are some enemies of a life of purpose:

1. Fear: fear can destroy the mighty. We must guide against fear if we must life a purposeful life.

2. Criticism: people will always say, so let them say.

If you walk on water, people will say 'it's because he can't swim. Common to swim, he can't.'

Let them talk, but face your life purpose.

1. Low self esteem: low self esteem is deadly.

You don't believe in yourself, you won't achieve for yourself.

So, dear, believe in yourself.

Importance of a Life of Purpose
A life of purpose is very important in our society today, here are a few benefits:

1. It helps you to overcome challenges : challenges are common in life, to overcome them, we must live with purpose. And if we are living with purpose, we mind what we do, where we go, what we say, etc. Why? Because a life of purpose is a special kind of life.

2. It helps you to overcome fear : they say the greatest enemy of tomorrow is the fear you allow to dominate your heart today.

Fear has torment.

So, do not let your heart be troubled by fear; let your heart be governored by faith. It's by faith we conquer our obstacles. So, dear steemians, don't let fear rule your life. Let faith rule your life.

1. It helps you to believe in yourself / dreams: a life of purpose enables you to keep believing in yourself even when the odds are against you. You keep believing, believing and believing !!!!!!!!
