Stormtrooper with a flash hack #2 - One photo every day (13/365)
Stormtrooper
The photo was taken in a completely dark room illuminated with the LED of my cell phone and a Sony CyberShot DSC-W150 in auto mode and I made a small hack to the flash, i which use several layers of blues and purples to get black light.
I try to use several tips that @gamer00 gave me, the miniature and background are completely white, so i use a flash with blue light to highlight the details of it. and it was the only way in which the miniature did not come out blurred, for some reason the camera added a lot of noise and it ended up looking blurred
The flash of the cyber-shot is the one with the hack, the cell light that is a led and is white
Also try to use the Rule of 3rds
Without the effect of black light

In the second shot your camera has trouble focusing. Maybe you had too little light for it to succesfully focus.
It may also be motion blur.
I've seen you use ISO mode a lot, try changing it to Aperture mode and let the camera choose the sensitivity and shutter speed. But keep the camera steady! If possible, get one of these and use a timer to shoot the photo, for added stability.
The most flexible way to shoot is to eventually move out of all auto modes and into manually setting all three variables: shutterspeed (seconds and fractions of), aperture (F-stops) and sensor sensitivity (ISO-values).
I may be giving some pointers on these later, I'm thinking of writing a post about it.
